1st avenue community group in newham

Our 1st (Avenue) RePaint Mural!

We were very happy to be asked to work with 1st Avenue community group in Newham to design and create a mural for the container on their urban garden site.

On Saturday 30 June 2012, there was a great launch event during which we painted the mural and had a chance to meet all the inspiring people who have worked so hard to create such a wonderful space.

We used paint from FRP’s The Paint Place project to complete the mural. We hope to show the extent of what great things you can do with reclaimed paint that would have otherwise been destined for landfill.

“The mural looks fantastic and makes the site that extra special. Thank you to FRP for all the hard work and commitment!”

Cllr Forhad Hussain – Community Lead Councillor – Plaistow

This is the first in a series of murals FRP will be painting around London as part of the Transform project, funded through Groundwork.

We look forward to meeting and working with other groups to Transform their spaces using our reclaimed paint.
