Meet Our Team
Alison
Chief Executive
Alison Griffin joined FRP in November 2019 as Chief Executive. With a background in voluntary sector management and development, and extensive fundraising and business development experience, Alison has been bringing FRP forward, expanding its scope and outreach. She is responsible for the management and strategy of the charity, and reports to the Board of Trustees.
Gosia
Retail & Operations Manager
Gosia originally joined FRP in 2019 and after a couple of years moved abroad but returned in 2023 to take the position of the Retail & Operations Manager. As the title suggests, she looks after everything retail-related and deals with reclaimed paint operations. Her professional background is in media and translation but her passion for sustainability and circular economy brought her eventually to FRP.
Greg
Green Champions Project Coordinator/Carpentry Mentor
Greg originally studied cabinet making, modern and traditional finishing and worked and taught as Antique Restorer/French Polisher for about 20 years, before obtaining an Environmental Science degree and becoming a science teacher. His passion for sustainability, connection with the natural world and the knack for improvising solutions and fixing things led him to FRP where he enjoys mentoring volunteers and doing everything carpentry-related.
Penny
Fabric Mentor
Penny joined the FRP team in November 2022, though she has been involved as a volunteer, supporter and collaborator for a number of years. She brings extensive experience in leading community sewing and creative workshops and is responsible for delivering Green Champions volunteering sessions in fabrics.
Les
Driver and Paint Mixer
FRP's longest serving team member, Les spent many years in the past as a driver and owner of a car garage. At FRP he leads on paint collections and is doing all the van driving. He is also a key member of the warehouse team, mixing reclaimed paint and serving customers.

Clive
Paint Mixer and Retailer
As an experienced painter-decorator with a passion for finding treasures in thrift stores, Clive is the perfect fit for FRP, where he works at the warehouse, serving customers, mixing paint and organising our stock. He is also a key member of the team that delivers FRP's special projects such as Give&Takes and preloved toys distribution.
Em
Retail Assistant and Green Champions Mentor
After spending over 20 years working in healthcare and support work, Em joined the FRP staff team in January 2021, having been a volunteer and supporter over several years. She is the lead team member in our shop in Walthamstow but works also in the warehouse and, being a trained carpenter herself, mentors carpentry Green Champions volunteers.
Tasnim and Shanell
Tool Library Coordinator (job share)
Tasnim and Shanell lead the volunteer and sessional worker team at the FRP Walthamstow Tool Library on Priory Court.
Joanna
Green Champions Administrator
Joanna joined the FRP team in August 2022, having been a volunteer and supporter of FRP, as well as a talented jewellery maker. Joanna leads on the administration and comms for the Green Champions programme.
Anita
Fabric Retail Coordinator
After spending many years in corporate project management, Anita opted for a change and joined the FRP team in October 2022 to work in our shop in Walthamstow. As a crafter with a keen eye for quality textiles, she is our Fabric Retail Coordinator, leading on fabric donations and sales.
Nilesh
Finance Officer
After spending many years at FRP in a variety of jobs: from a volunteer, to a warehouse worker, to the Operations Manager, and obtaining qualifications in accounting and a degree in Environmental Management in the meantime, Nilesh now looks after FRP's financial administration.
Meet Our Trustees
Meet our fantastic board of trustees, who are responsible for overall governance of our organisation.
Mona
Mona Vakil joined the FRP Board in 2018 and is a member of the local community having grown up in the area. She is a Chartered Accountant with experience in Business Partnering and Financial Accounting with leading Global Financial Services Companies. She has participated in corporate volunteering schemes over the past few years and given her interest in sustainability issues she was attracted to the potential of making a difference at FRP, and in particular the link between the social impact in the community and the environmental impact. Mona is also a keen advocate of diversity in the workplace and has co-chaired Women’s Diversity committees at two of the organisations she has worked for. FRP's treasurer for several years, she is now Chair of the Board of Trustees.
Tom
Tom Fox joined the FRP Board in 2017. Tom has a policy background and worked for several years in the social entrepreneurship sector as Head of Policy for UnLtd. He more recently joined the civil service and works for the Department for Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy. He lives locally and was interested in getting involved in FRP because of its integrated social and environmental mission, and its ambition to deliver this mission through a sustainable business model.
Véronique
Véronique Jochum joined the FRP Board in 2021. She is a social research consultant with 20 years’ experience of conducting research in the voluntary sector. Prior to freelancing, Véronique was Head of Research at NCVO (National Council for Voluntary Organisations) and much of her research has been on volunteering and social action. She lives in Walthamstow and has been involved in a range of local charities and community groups as a volunteer and trustee.
