We’re looking for two people to deliver the Waltham Forest Foundations programme

FRP has a 27-year track record of successfully meeting social and environmental objectives through initiatives that encourage re-use and recycling across communities. We are home to The Paint Place, one of London’s largest paint re-use operations.

We have also secured over £170,000 of funding from Reaching Communities to deliver Waltham Forest Foundations, a project which will engage people affected by social exclusion in activities with clear environmental benefits. We now seek two staff who will deliver the outcomes we seek.

Project Manager

£20k, 22.5 hours per week

You will lead the delivery of the Foundations programme, ensuring that individual lives are improved through engagement in environmental action, whilst also meeting project delivery targets. This will require effective liaison with referral partners and delivery of a programme of activities for volunteers, in collaboration with delivery partners.

In addition to your project leadership expertise, you will bring specific knowledge of working with volunteers with support needs related to their mental health and wellbeing, whether gained in a service delivery or volunteer support context.

Project Worker

£18k, 22.5 hours per week

You will collaborate with the Project Manager in the delivery of the Foundations Programme, and take particular responsibility for the one-to-one engagement with volunteers, ensuring their progress in line with tailored learning and activity plans.

As with the Project Manager, you will bring knowledge and experience gained from working with people with support needs. You will also demonstrate a highly organised approach to work to ensure the effective planning and co-ordination of activities for learners.

Both posts are offered on the basis of fixed-term contracts of eighteen months duration.

Job descriptions and further background about the project is can be downloaded from the links below.

To apply, send an up-to-date CV and a covering letter addressing the requirements of the person specification for the role you are interested in (max 3 sides A4) to Fitzroy Andrew, FRP’s Development Manager at [email protected]. CVs to arrive no later than midday on Monday 12 December 2016.

Fitzroy can be also contacted for a discussion about the roles and the project; call 020 8539 3856 to arrange a mutually convenient time. Interviews will take place in early January.
