We have the following volunteering opportunities, enabling you to join a nice team, and be involved in a great community project, where you can learn new skills while benefiting local people and the wider environment - please click on the links below to see the full role description and find out how to apply:

Role: Reclaimed Paint WAREHOUSE Assistant

• Key tasks: Help collect, sort and mix re-usable paint donated by residents and companies so that it can be re-distributed from FRP’s paint shop and other outlets for use in the local community
• When: Mondays, Wednesdays and Thursdays 10:00-16:00
• Where: The Paint Place Warehouse in Leytonstone (near Leyton Midland Road)
• Commitment: Minimum of 1 day per week.

Role: Reclaimed Paint RETAIL Assistant

• Key tasks: Help run the paint shop; assist customers to choose and buy reclaimed paint and a small selection of other wares; assist in general tasks relevant to the role
• When: Tuesdays to Fridays 10:00-16:00, Saturdays 10:00-14:00
• Where: The Paint Place Shop in Walthamstow (near Bakers Arms)
• Commitment: Minimum of 1 day per week. We are also looking for local people who can come and help out in the shop at short notice as and when required and you are available.

Role: Community Outreach Volunteer (Free Paint 4 Hackney)

• Key tasks: Promoting FRP’s Free Paint 4 Hackney offer to not-for profit organisations and community groups in Hackney; calling, emailing and visiting groups; maintaining an Excel-based database
• When: Mondays to Fridays 10:00-16:00, Saturdays 10:00-14:00
• Where: Generally out-and-about throughout Hackney, occasionally attending The Paint Place Shop in Walthamstow (near Bakers Arms) and/or The Paint Place Warehouse in Leytonstone (near Leyton Midland Road)
• Commitment: Minimum of 1 day per week.

Role: Give or Take Events Assistant

• Key tasks: Assist at FRP-run events including event reception, event support, driver’s mate support
• When: flexible, when events are taking place, mostly on Saturdays
• Where: On location, mainly in North East London
  Commitment: Flexible, as and when required and you are available.

Role: Paint Upcycling Assistant

• Key tasks: Assist with the painting and upcycling of small pieces of furniture using reclaimed paint and materials, working on individual pieces
• When: Tuesdays to Fridays 10:00-16:00, Saturdays 10:00-14:00
• Where: The Paint Place Shop in Walthamstow (near Bakers Arms)
• Commitment: Flexible, as and when you are available.
