Forest Recycling Project - Recycling for the community

FRP-REUSEiT

FRP-REUSEiT is an FRP computer recycling initiative. We accept unwanted computers and IT equipment from both individuals and companies.

Our goal, in accordance with the WEEE and RoHS directives, is to refurbish these computers and re-introduce them back into the local community. As a member of the Microsoft Refurbisher Scheme, we install a fully licensed Windows 98 Second Edition operating system.

Any items not suitable for refurbishment will be dismantled and sent to an environmentally conscious recycling company to minimise waste and reduce landfill.

We also will accept other peripherals and spare parts including: Hard disks greater than 4GB, CD/DVD drives, Memory, USB devices/cables, Multimedia cards, Speakers, Modems, Sound cards, Network cards, Printers (if they work!), keyboards, mice, power cables and any software and blank media etc.

Secure data erasure is available at �10.00 (+VAT) per computer

Minimum Spec:

PC - Pentium II, Celeron and AMD K6 Processors rated at 233 MHz and above. (Usually, if the PC is running Win98 or above, it should be OK to donate)
Apple Mac - PowerPC 7500 and above.

Collection Fees:

Individuals:
If you live in Waltham Forest, collection of computer equipment is free; or you could bring it to our office. If you live outside Waltham Forest, there will be small pick up charge, depending on the distance.

Waltham Forest based companies: �5 (+VAT) per PC, Monitor or printer. For those companies operating within the Leyton and Lea Bridge wards, this collection is free.
