Testimonials

P8090247For Steve and Michael (pictured on the right at a management meeting) , who run FRP-REUSEiT, their best testimonial is the fact that over 60% of the volunteers that help us on a daily basis, who started here on government placements, stay on after their assignment to help us reuse the computers we receive and place them with charities, community groups and volunteer organisations.  Without these volunteers FRP-REUSEiT would not have achieved anywhere near what it has.

On behalf of FRP-REUSEiT, Steve and Michael we would like to thank them all.

Robert, a former volunteer

I joined REUSEiT as a volunteer in order to gain further practical hands-on experience which is essential in today’s IT profession, as employers will under no circumstances value people with only ‘paper qualifications’ and in my opinion REUSEiT have really, not only boosted my confidence but provided me with valuable practical hands-on experience and entrusted me to deal with the organisations customers prior to full time employment.
Without Steve and Michael’s’ dedication towards helping the local unemployed who are desperate to get into the IT profession, I would not be in a position to be employed in this highly demanding profession.
Anyone who is unemployed and wishes to pursue a career in IT, I would highly recommend REUSEiT to them without hesitation.

Once again, thanks ever so much to Steve and Michael.

Fazal a former volunteer (5/2007 - 5/2008)

I volunteered at FRP-REUSEiT as a part time volunteer for one year.  I learnt how to build PCs from component parts to a fully assembled functioning PC which was delivered to customers.  In addition the work included fault diagnosis and repairs.  The technical knowledge I gained at REUSEiT helped me secure full time employment as a mechanical engineer designing and manufacturing scientific instruments.  REUSEiT provides an invaluable service that is the only source of affordable access to PC to build knowledge/experience as well as giving internet access to people who live in the local community who have financial constraints.

Chris, a former volunteer

I found the help and support at FRP-REUSEiT extreamly helpful.  It offered me a place to increase my experience and confidence in and around PCs and MS Windows.  As a direct result of my time spent there, I am now working for Heathcote School in Chingford as an ICT Technician
Also, I found the setup fantastic, offering huge discounts on computers to those organisations that really need it, reusing PCs that would normally be thrown into a landfill and offering people a chance to gain experience in IT.

Oscar @ St Mary Magdalene Centre.

We have been setting up an educational project to teach Information Communication Technology and integrate our existing client base of asylum seekers and refugees and have received invaluable help from FRP-REUSEiT.  From our first conversation to delivery to the desk of our computers, FRP-REUSEiT have been very professional doing what they said they would do, when they said they would do it.  Not only where they able to offer technical advice on how to to go about achieving our goals, they were also able to tailor recycled computers to our exact needs.  They were very fast in recycling the computers and all arrived working and ready to use.  Whatever our query, it was answered quickly and efficiently.  I would recommend FRP-REUSEiT to any other charitable organisation as they have enabled us to both save money and also be more environmentally friendly than buying new.

If you have delt with us either as a volunteer, customer, supplier or supporter we would welcome feedback.
Please email computers@frponline.org.uk  with your comments.

Thank you in advance,
Steve and Michael.
