FRP Reuse Centre

The FRP Reuse Centre at 2c Bakers Avenue sells recycled paint, refurbished computers, videos, books, TVs, kettles, lamps, other small electrical items, Fair Trade tea and coffee, eco-friendly cleaning products and recycled toilet rolls, kitchen towel and printer/copier paper.

The purpose of the FRP Reuse Centre is to ensure that items which would otherwise be put in the rubbish are saved from landfill and made available for use by others. We are open Monday to Thursday between 10 a.m. and 4 p.m. and on Saturday from 10 p.m. to 2 p.m. You are welcome to come in for a browse; you never know what you might find!

Recycled Paint

If you need paint, try us first. We always have supplies of recycled emulsion (vinyl silk, vinyl matt and eggshell), gloss, satinwood, undercoat, primer, and masonry paint that we sell for the remarkably low
suggested donation of £1 a litre. We also have unmixed paint that is available for a suggested donation of from £1 a litre up to 1/3 of the retail price, which still represents very good value.

Refurbished Computers

We refurbish old computers and make them available for a suggested donation of between £30 and £120 depending on the specification. This is the price for a complete system including keyboard, mouse and CRT screen. A typical hardware configuration is 2GHz processor, 512Mb RAM and 60Gb hard disc. All of our computers are configured with licenced or free software, typically Windows XP, an Office suite (either Microsoft Office or Open Office) and AVG anti-virus.

Fairtrade Products

Help to support small scale tea and coffee growers and improve their way of life by buying Fair Trade tea and coffee products from the FRP Reuse Centre. We have jars of regular and decaff coffee; regular and decaff ground coffee; Rooibos, Earl Grey, chamomile and everyday tea bags; and Fair Trade sugar as well.
