Minimum PC Specification

Unfortunately we can not accept all PC related equipment for re-use.  This is for 2 reasons, firstly we are only able to install Windows XP and 2000 which will simply not run on PCs below Pentium III, secondly because companies have been upgrading from CRT screens to flat screens and we have more screens than we have PCs.  Below is the minimum specification of equipment we can accept for re-use.
 

Minimum Spec:
PC - Pentium III, Celeron and AMD Processors rated at 500 MHz and above.
(Usually, if the PC is running Windows 2000,  Millennium or above, it should be OK to reuse)
Apple Mac - PowerPC 7500 and above.
CRT Screens - Only when accompanied by a PC meeting the above specification (except for large quantities 30+ we charge £2 each)
Printers - Only if working and with ink cartridge (doesn’t have to be full)
Hard drives, Memory, External Drives, Internal Drives - Any in working order

Collection Fees:

Individuals:
If you live in Waltham Forest, collection of computer equipment is free; or you could bring it to our office at 2c Bakers Ave. If you live outside Waltham Forest, but within 4 miles of E17 there will be a pick up charge, depending on the distance and quantities. 

Certificated secure data erasure is available at £5.00  per computer

Companies:
Waltham Forest based companies: £5  per PC, Monitor or printer. For companies operating within the Leyton and Lea Bridge wards, this collection is free.  For others the cost is £5 per device (minimum quantity 5 complete PCs).

Certificated secure data erasure is available at £5.00  per computer.

Discounts up to 100% are available for large quantities (10 complete PCs or more).
